Internet Privacy Statement
The Site contains links to other web sites. Kicks For Kids is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites and encourages Users to review the privacy policies of the web sites before providing them with any personally identifiable data.
The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for this Site.
Personally identifiable information
Kicks For Kids will collect personally identifiable information (information that may include User’s name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, and payment information) from Users on the Site only if they voluntarily submit such information. Users can refuse to supply personally identifiable information, but it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities and limit their ability to use the Site.
Kicks For Kids may collect personally identifiable information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users register on the Site, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, or make a donation.
How Kicks For Kids uses personally identifiable information
Information gathered to record a stated desire to donate online to Kicks For Kids via a direct gift or through a company-sponsored campaign is used solely by Kicks For Kids or other parties to the transaction for the purpose of executing the transaction, to improve a User’s experience with Kicks For Kids and for its internal business purposes.
Kicks For Kids may use this data to contact Users about its programs and other areas on the Site in which they have expressed interest. Users have the option of providing additional preference information, but it is not required. Periodically Kicks For Kids will send electronic communications in newsletter format or another format to donors, volunteers and other business contacts. These communications include, and are not limited to, information regarding, funded program information and results, news and events, and other pertinent information Kicks For Kids feels should be reported to its constituents. Recipients retain the option to opt-out of these communications at any point in time.
In the event that Kicks For Kids assets or any business unit is transferred to another entity, personally identifiable information may be one of the transferred assets.
“Usage information” is information automatically collected by a web server (which may be hosted by a third party) that a User’s browser makes available when visiting the Site, such as a computer’s IP (Internet Protocol) address or browser type. When a web browser or email application requests a web page or email from another computer on the Internet, it automatically gives that computer the address where it should send the information. This “address” does not contain any personally identifiable information. Kicks For Kids also receives the name of the User’s internet service provider (ISP).
Kicks For Kids may also use other technologies (such as cookies, explained below) to enhance User experience and obtain information about a User’s online activities, such as pages and content viewed, the time and duration of visits and whether a User clicked on a link.
Cookies that are used on the Site are “session” cookies, and are used to identify a particular visit to the Site, Session cookies expire after a short time or when a User closes a web browser. Due to the communications standards on the Internet, when Users visit the Site, it automatically receives the URL of the web site from which the User came and the web site to which the User visits when leaving the Site.
How Kicks For Kids uses usage information
Kicks For Kids may from time to time use third party tools that helps it understand how visitors engage with the Site. Kicks For Kids may share the data collected by such services with third parties in order to obtain web analytics and benchmarking services.
Kicks For Kids may use this information to administer its Site and analyze overall trends. The information which the Site automatically gathers, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors, helps determine how much visitors use parts of the Site, so that Kicks For Kids can make continuous improvements. Kicks For Kids also may provide aggregated statistical “ratings” information, but never information about Users personally, to its partners about how visitors collectively, use the Site.
If you send us an email with questions or comments, we may use your personally identifiable information to respond to your questions or comments, and we may save your questions or comments for future reference. For security reasons, we do not recommend that you send non-public personal information, such as passwords, social security numbers, or bank account information, to us by email. However, aside from our reply to such an email, it is not our standard practice to send you email unless you request a particular service or sign up for a feature that involves email communications, we are sending you information about our other services, events or fundraising campaigns, requests for donations, or you consented to being contacted by email for a particular purpose. In certain instances, we may provide you with the option to set your preferences for receiving email communications from us; that is, agree to some communications but not others. You may “opt out” of receiving future commercial email communications from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of most emails we send, or as provided below; provided, however, we reserve the right to send you transactional emails such as customer service communications.
