CELEBRITY GOLF CLASSIC
KFK's first Celebrity Golf Classic was held in 1995. Arguably the best run and highest yielding charity golf outing in the tri-state, the event netted over $185,000.00 in 2005. Held annually at Triple Crown Country Club and presented by Meijer on the last Monday and Tuesday of June, KFK's Celebrity Golf Classic places a celebrity with each foursome. The resulting "five-some" competes in a two-man best ball format for bragging rights . . . and gift certificates and airline tickets.

RIVER RUN
KFK's first River Run was held in 1997. The beautiful yet challenging course takes runners and walkers through Newport, Covington, and Cincinnati on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. The event includes a 5k run/walk, a Special K for children with physical and/or mental disabilities, and a Children's Fun Run. The River Run is designed to appeal to families looking for fun on the riverfront as well as competitive runners and walkers.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN AND OTHERS
As an accomplished high school athlete in football, baseball and basketball, Doug Pelfrey is a strong proponent of how sports can be a positive influence in the lives of our youth -- promoting teamwork, requiring self-discipline, and encouraging good sportsmanship. As a result, KFK plans to host a variety of athletic camps. To do this, our charity is looking to purchase a site where we can construct the facilities need to host day camps for baseball, football, basketball, soccer, an 8-10 week summer camp, etc. The majority of the expenses involved with this project will be raised via a Capital Campaign -- which has not been launched at this time. Aside from KFK's Celebrity Golf Classic, River Run and the Capital Campaign mentioned above, we are not coordinating any other fundraisers at the present time.
